I am of the opinion that the music selection in some taxis is just down right ridiculous. Why must I be subjected to music which is down right suggestive, insulting and most importantly inappropriate. Then my next question would be why is it so loud and my following question would be; is the police man def?
Recently I had the unpleasant experience while travelling in a taxi from Trinity Mall, and in my less than 8 minutes drive I felt violated ... That is my ears .... as it was subjected to the sounds of this generation. Firstly I could not understand what was the moral of the song, the lyrics was less than desirable as it ranted on about a girl that was call Tiffany which the composer insisted should be call " Heffany" and that he would NOT want to be her friend and that he would " hit it but not call it" NOW....
My last question would be..... why do we expect our youths to behave or respect people when we are not ensuring that the environment is conducive to healthy productive human beings. If I am not mistaken at least 20 years ago loud , suggestive music was not allowed in public transport... At least when I was going to school.
For real some of the music playing today is really, I normally zone out when I use public transport..
ReplyDeleteThat's why I listen to my own music while I'm travelling.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I carry reading material when I travel, too much unnecessary noise.
